Family Assistant/Nanny Position

Loving co-parents are looking to hire a new family assistant/nanny for their 11-year-old son and 8-year-old daughter, who split their time between homes in San Carlos and Portola Valley. The family has had a loving nanny since their infancy, who is moving on to a new chapter of life. The schedule varies by hours and days per week, but will be agreed upon ahead of time.

Responsibilities

• School drop-off and pick-up
• Engaged, age-appropriate care for two school-aged kids
• Children's laundry, organization, and wardrobe upkeep
• Maintaining the organization of toys, bedrooms, and shared spaces
• Managing morning/evening routines and after-school activities
• Light cooking and meal prep for the family
• Running occasional errands (returns, post office, etc.)
• Proactive household support during school hours

Qualifications

• Fun, able to help with homework and keep kids engaged and motivated when needed
• Experience in a similar role
• Strong organizational systems and attention to detail
• Comfortable with light cooking and food prep

Requirements

• Highly proactive, organized, and detail-oriented
• Flexible, adaptable, and able to anticipate household and child needs
• Strong communication and ability to work within two households
• Able to take initiative and manage tasks without direction
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; must use own vehicle

Salary and Benefits

• $45/hour (flexible depending on experience)
