Child and Youth Program Assistant CY-01/02.

Responsibilities Provides appropriate developmental care and instruction for children and youth from 6 weeks to 18 years. Supervises and accounts for the whereabouts and safety of children and youth during daily routines, indoor and outdoor activities, field trips, outings, and special events. Assists in implementing developmentally appropriate activities, schedules, and routines using prepared curriculum and activity plans. Helps to arrange for or serve snacks or meals. Identifies and responds to emergency situations, including evacuations, illnesses, and physical and emotional needs. Qualifications Must be at least 18 years old. Hold a high school diploma or equivalent. Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing. Resumes should be two pages (or fewer) and clearly demonstrate relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and abilities. Requirements Direct deposit and Social Security Card required. One‑year probationary period may be required. Must satisfactorily complete an E‑Verify check. Must pass background checks and be favorably adjudicated. Must report all suspected incidents of child abuse/neglect. Must complete DoW and Service training requirements, including orientation and annual ongoing training, and maintain current CPR and First Aid certifications. Must meet immunization requirements, including the influenza vaccine and other communicable‑disease vaccines. Must pass pre‑employment and subsequent physical examinations and provide evidence of immunization; must be free from communicable disease. Must be physically capable of lifting and carrying up to 40 lbs., walking, bending, stooping, and standing on a routine basis. Must have visual and auditory capabilities to supervise children and youth.
