About the team: The Transportation Operations team ensures accurate and timely delivery of Walmart orders by managing outbound product movement from fulfillment centers through sort centers to delivery networks. Collaborating with internal operations and external transportation providers, the team drives service excellence and network efficiency across middle-mile and final-mile logistics. Focused on optimizing supply chain strategy, supplier performance, and carrier management, the team fosters seamless customer delivery experiences while continuously improving operational processes and partnerships to support Walmart’s commitment to reliable and efficient supply chain execution. What you'll do:Direct supply chain flow from supplier to store to optimize sales instock and profitability metrics.Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve order exceptions, disruptions, and constraints impacting execution.Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance product flow, reduce waste, and increase cost efficiency.Oversee external partner relationships, ensuring compliance with company standards and performance expectations.Develop and implement business strategies aligned with customer needs and operational goals.Foster talent development through coaching, mentoring, and succession planning.Promote integrity, ethical standards, and a culture of accountability across teams.What you'll bring:Extensive experience in supply chain management with a proven ability to direct end-to-end supply chain execution and improve operational efficiency.Strong leadership skills to develop, mentor, and engage high-performing teams while fostering collaboration across stakeholders.Expertise in supply chain strategy, including flow path optimization, inventory profitability, and process improvement initiatives.Proficiency in supplier performance and carrier management, ensuring compliance and driving continuous improvement.Excellent communication skills to effectively manage internal and external relationships and resolve supply chain disruptions.Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data for decision-making and cost reduction opportunities.Knowledge of fulfillment and parcel carrier operations.
