This role leads the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual cash flow reports and performance metrics, while providing research and insights to support strategic decision-making.ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:The Senior Financial Analyst supports consolidated cash flow reporting and planning across the organization. This includes monthly and quarterly analysis, annual budgeting, long-term planning, and forecasting activities. The role supports the Cash Flow leadership team to provide strategic and financial analysis to executive leadership, including the CFO, SVP of FP&A, and senior management.Support the preparation and review of Business Unit monthly reporting by collecting financial and operational data and performing high-level performance analysis against budget, forecast, and prior periodsExtract and analyze data from financial planning and reporting systems (FPR) and other management reporting toolsPerform variance and trend analysis, including year-over-year comparisonsMaintain, update, and enhance monthly financial models to improve accuracy and efficiencyAssist in the preparation and review of key cash flow components, including AR/AP capital expenditures (CapEx), interest, and working capitalAnalyze cash flow results relative to budget, forecast, and historical performancePrepare recurring and ad hoc financial reports and analyses for executive leadershipAdvanced Financial Modeling & Scenario AnalysisDevelop and maintain sophisticated integrated financial models supporting strategic growth initiatives and capital allocation decisions.Evaluate multiple investment scenarios across varying project sizes, capital structures, operational assumptions, and development timelines.Model long-term financial impacts across 5 to 10+ year planning horizons.Build scenario frameworks that allow management to evaluate outcomes under different growth, financing, and market conditions.Model Integration & ForecastingCreate automated processes that allow model assumptions and outputs to update dynamically as new forecasts become available.Connect project economics models with broader corporate outlooks and forecast frameworksEnsure consistency across business unit forecasts, strategic plans, and long-range planning models.QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related fieldMinimum of five (5) years of experience in financial analysis or related fieldDemonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines with a high level of accuracyProven ability to work independently with minimal supervision while contributing effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environmentStrong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate and resolve complex financial and accounting issuesHighly motivated self-starter with strong problem-solving capabilities and exceptional attention to detailExcellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with senior leadership and external stakeholdersAbility to thrive in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities and tight deadlinesExperience with Hyperion or comparable financial planning and reporting systemsAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including XLOOKUP, and SUMIFS functionsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Five (5)+ years of experience within the energy industryAdvanced degree (MBA or equivalent) and/or CPA designation preferredExperience working with SAPAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel preferred. Proficiency in PowerPoint and WordExperience with Alteryx, Python, SQL, Power BI, VBA or other automation/macro tools strongly preferredWORKING CONDITIONS:Hybrid work schedule consisting of remote work and four (4) days per week in the officeOpen office environmentAbility to sit and/or stand for extended periods as neededOccasional overtime may be required to support special projects and business needsThe base salary range for this position is: $96,700 - $120,900. The base salary range above represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonus, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards.
