This is a pivotal role that touches every product KCP takes to market, working with customers in category/platform management. You will be responsible for managing the packaging development for new and existing products. Job Responsibilities Deliver innovative, cost‑effective packaging solutions that minimize cost, add value for the customer, and advance sustainability for KC and stakeholders. Oversee and manage the complete packaging development process, including design, prototype development, and performance testing. Continuously improve the capability of existing KCP packaging and equipment to better meet customer and end‑user requirements. Recommend and lead packaging development programs that reduce damage or provide competitive advantage. Identify and implement cost‑saving initiatives related to packaging materials, labor, efficiency, transportation, and storage. Establish and maintain relationships with packaging suppliers, staying up to date on packaging and equipment developments. Understand and communicate the impact of relevant regional legislation. Develop and maintain packaging specifications and standards supporting the production and manufacturing of KCP products. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in packaging, engineering, business, or a related discipline. 3+ years of related experience. Computer skills with CAPE, TOPS, ArtiosCAD, Microsoft Word and Excel (required). General understanding of material suppliers’ manufacturing processes. Ability to design corrugated, carton board, paper wrap, and film structures. Demonstrated team‑oriented performance. Understanding of correlation between final art and package design. Aware of applicable packaging laws and regulations. Expected travel approximately 10%. Salary & Compensation Salary range: $87,260 – $107,780 USD for U.S. locations. Actual pay depends on location, role, skills, performance, and experience.
