Job Title: ED RN Night Shift Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 4-5 years preferred; 3 years of travel experience preferred License: Must have an active state or compact RN license Certifications: Required certifications include BLS, ACLS, CPI, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC Must-Have: - Epic experience - Experience in Trauma Level II preferred Description: This position is for an Emergency Department Registered Nurse for night shifts, working 3x12-hour shifts. The average patient census is around 140 visits per day, with a bed capacity of 46. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4. Patient diagnoses include chest pain, stroke, sepsis, cardiac arrest, trauma, respiratory illness, and respiratory arrest. The role requires managing various emergency situations, including drug overdoses and traumatic brain injuries. Candidates must be comfortable floating within the unit as needed. Every other weekend and holiday coverage will be required. Interdisciplinary support is available, including teams for physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy. With a focus on providing quality care, the unit also manages patients across all age groups. Special equipment available includes rapid infusers and warmth systems for neonates.
