Conduct assessments across various age groups, utilizing both standardized tests and personalized observation techniques.
Create individualized treatment plans, addressing immediate goals while considering long-term communication, cognitive, and swallowing challenges.
Deliver tailored speech therapy sessions, focusing on language, fluency, voice, and swallowing needs.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physical therapists, occupational therapists, and physicians to foster unified treatment strategies.
Provide education to patients and families, empowering them to support therapeutic gains at home.
Assist with patient evaluations and therapeutic interventions in an inpatient capacity, ensuring a seamless continuation of care.
Document patient progress and therapy outcomes in accordance with all regulatory and organizational standards.
Stay abreast of emerging trends and techniques in speech therapy through continued education and teamwork.
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), if not yet ASHA-certified.
State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
Expertise in modern treatment methodologies across the lifespan for speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
Exceptional communication skills with the ability to connect with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
Capacity to modify therapeutic approaches to cater to varied cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
Solid clinical judgment and problem-solving capabilities.
Adeptness with electronic medical records and documentation processes.
