About the Position

Job Title: Surgical Tech Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Certified OR Tech / Surgical Tech (CST) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 4x10-Hour Hours per Shift: 06:45 - 17:15 Experience: Minimum 2 years in specialty License: Required Certifications: BLS, NBSTSA Must-Have: Previous charge experience preferred Description: The Surgical Tech will support surgical procedures in the operating room. Call is required one night per week and one weekend per month. First-time travelers are accepted. Locals are not accepted (must live 75+ miles from the facility). Scrubs will be provided. Experience with various surgical procedures is expected. Candidates should have familiarity with common surgical tools and aseptic techniques. The unit performs a daily average of over 40 surgical cases. Diverse patient age groups including adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients are catered to. This role may include floating within the facility based on the needs of the service. Preferred skills and experiences include trauma and various specific surgical procedures. Certification in BLS and NBSTSA is mandatory for consideration. Travel experience is not required, but is a plus. Candidates must demonstrate excellent communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced environment. The role offers the opportunity to work with advanced surgical technologies and techniques.
