Mechanical Tool Designer

Hiring: Mechanical Tool Designer
Location: Lewis Center, OH Onsite
We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Tool Designer to develop high-speed manufacturing automation systems, tooling, material handling solutions, and robotic automation for industrial applications.

Key Responsibilities:
Design automation and assembly machines
Design conveyors and material handling systems
Develop pick-and-place and robotic systems
Design jigs, fixtures, tooling, and mechanical assemblies
Create drawings and BOMs using AutoCAD and SolidWorks
Select components like LM Guides, servo motors, and sensors
Support machine integration, testing, and troubleshooting
Ensure designs meet OSHA, CE, and customer standards
Work with vendors, electrical teams, programmers, machinists, and fabricators
Lead mechanical design tasks and coordinate a 10 12 member team
Coordinate with onsite and offshore teams
Support project documentation and design planning

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
Industrial/Manufacturing Automation experience
Strong AutoCAD and SolidWorks skills
Experience with high-speed automation and SPMs
Knowledge of bowl feeders and pick-and-place systems
Experience with sensors, pneumatic, servo, and robotic systems
Knowledge of material handling and machine integration
Experience with jigs, fixtures, tooling, and mechanical design
Basic knowledge of electrical devices such as switches, load cells, and LVDTs
Strong mechanical design and problem-solving skills
Team leadership and onsite/offshore coordination experience
Good communication and project management skills
