Ability to maintain confidentiality
Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years old
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (if visiting patients)
Pass a background check
Complete hospice volunteer orientation and training (provided at no cost)
No medical experience is required
Volunteer Duties May Include:
Visiting patients to provide companionship
Reading, playing games, or simply being present
Making friendly phone calls
Assisting with office projects and mailings
Helping with community events and outreach
Supporting bereavement programs
Providing respite for caregivers
