Contract accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented Contract Accountant with 2-4+ years of general ledger experience to support our accounting team. This role focuses on maintaining financial accuracy across a multi-entity structure, managing day-to-day corporate accounting functions, and supporting month-end close operations. Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform day-to-day general ledger operations and month-end closing procedures for multiple entities.
• Prepare complex bank reconciliations and maintain accurate prepaid, accrual, and reserve schedules.
• Manage intercompany accounting transactions and reconciliations in compliance with GAAP.
• Utilize ERP systems and payment processing platforms (e.g., BluePay) to manage daily financial transactions.
• Analyze financial data, investigate variances, and assist with audit preparation.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience: 2-4+ years of corporate accounting or GL experience, ideally in a multi-entity environment.
• Technical Skills: proficiency in Microsoft Excel (vlookups, pivot tables) and experience with mid-to-enterprise ERP systems. Familiarity with payment processing platforms like BluePay is a plus.
• Core Knowledge: Solid understanding of US GAAP, accrual-based accounting, reserve methodologies, and intercompany mechanics.
• Attributes: Proficeint in analytical skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
