Why join us? Schedule & Expectations This is a full-time, primarily onsite Manchester position, with an expectation of approximately four days per week in office. The typical schedule is Monday through Friday, with occasional flexibility needed to come in early or stay later depending on closings and client needs. The role carries an approximate 1,400-hour annual billable target. Job Details Responsibilities The Commercial Real Estate / Title Paralegal will perform substantive legal work supporting the Real Estate & Development Practice Group and other attorneys throughout the firm on real estate-related matters. Responsibilities include: Performing full title searches and title updates Reviewing and analyzing title records Preparing and issuing title reports Preparing title commitments and pro forma title policies Assisting with commercial real estate closings Preparing preliminary drafts of: Deeds and conveyancing documents Preparing preliminary drafts of: Closing documents Preparing preliminary drafts of: Settlement statements Preparing preliminary drafts of: Real estate transfer tax forms Coordinating title-related documentation and closing requirements Supporting attorneys with commercial real estate transactions from initial diligence through closing Communicating with attorneys, clients, title companies, lenders, and other transaction participants Assisting with additional real estate and title matters as needed Experience with title abstracting is particularly valuable. Ideal Background Candidates should ideally bring: 5+ years of commercial real estate/title experience Prior experience working as a Commercial Real Estate or Title Paralegal Strong familiarity with New Hampshire Title Examination Standards Familiarity with Massachusetts REBA / Real Estate Bar Association standards is a plus Experience performing title searches and title updates Experience preparing commitments, title reports, closing documents, and related transactional materials Strong legal terminology and document-management knowledge Excellent Microsoft Office and legal-technology skills A bachelor’s degree, paralegal certification, and/or title producer license are strongly preferred but may not be required for an otherwise highly experienced candidate.
