Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Description

Job Summary:

Provides comprehensive nursing care to emergency department patients, ensuring timely assessment, intervention, and discharge planning. Supervises nursing staff and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to promote a safe and efficient emergency care environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assess emergency patients promptly upon arrival to determine acuity and prioritize care.
  
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient assessment and clinical data.
  
• Coordinate with physicians, technicians, and other healthcare professionals to deliver seamless emergency care.
  
• Educate patients and their families about treatment procedures, safety measures, and discharge instructions.
  
• Supervise and delegate clinical tasks to nursing staff according to scope of practice.
  
• Document clinical findings and interventions accurately in compliance with healthcare regulations.
  Qualifications:
  
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice.
  
• Minimum of one year of emergency room or acute care experience preferred.
  
• Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
  
• Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to triage efficiently.
  
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in fast-paced environments.
  
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
