Leasing Agent

We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Floating Leasing Agent to support multiple apartment communities throughout the Houston area. This position is ideal for an adaptable leasing professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working with different teams and communities. The Floating Leasing Agent will provide leasing coverage where needed, helping maximize occupancy, deliver exceptional resident experiences, and maintain strong leasing performance across the portfolio. The ideal candidate possesses excellent sales, customer service, and organizational skills, is comfortable traveling between properties, and can quickly adapt to new environments while maintaining a high level of professionalism. Travel between assigned apartment communities throughout the Houston market as business needs require. Serve as leasing support during staffing shortages, employee vacations, new acquisitions, lease-ups, or high leasing volume. Greet prospective residents and conduct professional community and apartment tours. Respond promptly to phone, email, text, and online leasing inquiries. Qualify prospects and recommend apartment homes based on their needs. Process rental applications, verify required documentation, and coordinate approvals. Prepare lease agreements, renewal documents, and move-in paperwork. Coordinate move-ins and ensure apartment homes are ready for occupancy. Maintain accurate prospect and resident information within the property's management software. Follow up with prospects to convert leads into signed leases. Assist with lease renewals and resident retention initiatives. Build positive relationships with residents by providing exceptional customer service. Perform daily market surveys and monitor competitor pricing and specials. Ensure model units, vacant apartments, leasing offices, and tour paths are clean and show-ready. Assist with resident events, outreach marketing, and community promotions. Work closely with property managers and maintenance teams to ensure a seamless resident experience. Support occupancy, leasing, and revenue goals across multiple communities. Comply with all Fair Housing laws, company policies, and state regulations. Qualifications Minimum 1-2 years of multifamily leasing experience preferred. Previous experience as a floating or portfolio leasing consultant is a plus. High school diploma or GED required. Strong sales, customer service, and communication skills. Excellent organizational and time management abilities. Ability to quickly adapt to different communities, teams, and workflows. Experience using property management software such as Yardi, Entrata, ResMan, OneSite, RealPage, or similar . Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Professional appearance and positive attitude. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required. Valid Texas driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel throughout the Houston metropolitan area. Floating leasing positions commonly require travel between multiple communities.
