Financial Analyst

Jacksonville or Orlando, Florida | Hybrid | Full-Time

Position Summary

Earth Systems is seeking a sharp, detail-driven Financial Analyst who is intellectually curious, coachable, and an exceptional communicator. Reporting directly to the CFO, this role will support financial planning, forecasting, project analytics, and business performance while gaining cross-functional exposure to Finance, Accounting, Operations, and senior leadership.

Location: Jacksonville or Orlando, Florida - Must be able to work out of the Orlando or Jacksonville office on a min of 2x per week schedule.
Work Arrangement: Hybrid
Compensation: $70,000–$80,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications
Reports To: Chief Financial Officer
Travel: 10% or less

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the CFO with annual budgeting and periodic reforecasting.
• Build expertise in Vena (financial planning software) and take ownership of its reporting and analytical capabilities.
• Perform project-level financial analysis and develop recommendations to improve margins.
• Assist the CFO and COO with tracking pricing changes and evaluating financial impact.
• Monitor key performance indicators and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Closely track corporate spending and support cost-savings initiatives.
• Develop financial reports and analysis to support business and leadership decisions.
• Work cross-functionally with Accounting and Operations, gaining broad business exposure and leadership development opportunities.

Requirements

• Must be local to the Orlando or Jacksonville location.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• 2–3 years of financial analysis, FP&A, accounting analytics, or related experience.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Embraces and understands basic AI applications but fully owns and can explain AI-generated outputs.
• Vantagepoint or other AEC ERP software experience preferred.
• Vena, Adaptive Planning, SmartView, or Office Connect experience preferred.
