TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in Winston Salem, North Carolina, 27103!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Active nursing license required Certifications: BCLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Experience in telemetry monitoring and treatment of dysrhythmias Description: RTO after booking is not allowed and cannot be worked out onsite. Any call-offs or additional RTO on unit could possibly result in a cancellation. Minimum 2 years of experience required. Traveler experience is not required, but first-time travelers will not be accepted. Locals are accepted, and there may be a rate difference. The target patient ratios are 1:5, with occasional 1:6 shifts. 36 or 48 hours can be offered based on needs. The unit will accept contracts of 13 weeks or longer. Float requirements exist to sister units. Weekend coverage is required every other weekend. The unit serves as a 24-bed medical-surgical telemetry overflow unit. The nurse-to-patient ratio is typically 1:6, supported by CNAs. The team is diverse and prides itself on teamwork. The focus is on providing patients with remarkable care across all dimensions. Goals include restoring physiologic stability, preventing complications, and achieving optimal patient responses. Telemetry monitoring is conducted by a technician on another unit. Nurses must accurately manage and treat dysrhythmias. The unit uses Pyxis and Epic for charting. All candidates must pass EKG testing prior to start. Travelers must be available for classes. Scrubs should be navy blue. Candidates must float within or near the facility. Completion of pre-start modules is required. Module training should take approximately 8-10 hours for acute care. Modules must be completed before starting and are conducted online.
