Distribution Center Supervisor

ADUSA Distribution is the distribution company of Ahold Delhaize USA, providing distribution services to one of the largest grocery retail supply chains in the nation. ADUSA Distribution receives, stores, manages inventory, and ships fresh and non‑perishable product throughout the network of local brand stores. ADUSA Distribution facilities handle a mix of product types, including fresh, frozen, grocery and health and beauty care items. To learn more about our company and the other supply chain companies of Ahold Delhaize USA, visit Primary Purpose The Supervisor, Distribution Operations provides leadership for assigned department, ensuring a safe and engaged team at all times. This role is responsible for meeting operational and team objectives, ensuring safety, quality and production standards are met. Handles all daily issues and projects under the direction of the Operations Manager. Works with all Distribution Center Departments, Transportation, and Inventory Management to ensure the timely movement of product. Duties and Responsibilities Maintain a safe and positive work environment ensuring associates are treated fairly and consistently. Actions support a "Safety First" culture and ensure safe practices are employed, minimizing unsafe events and ensuring compliance with all regulations. Supervises day to day activities of department and assigned team. Provides direct oversight for warehouse associates. Manages team performance via coaching, feedback, and disciplinary efforts. Proactively partners with all applicable departments to ensure efficient and accurate flow of inventory in and out of distribution center, meeting commitments to retail. Monitors department staffing and adjusts as needed. Assists in recruiting, staffing and training activities. Communicates with appropriate individuals/departments during the shift that may affect other warehouse departments. Efficiently leads associates of the department toward attaining their individual and combined goals through hands‑on guidance and training. Meets department operational and budget goals. Ensures compliance with established standards in the areas of safety, productivity and accuracy. Provides feedback to leadership for optimization opportunities.
