We are seeking a creative and organized Associate Designer to join a fast-paced design team. This individual will support the design and development process from initial concept through final product execution. The ideal candidate is collaborative, detail-oriented, proactive, and passionate about creating commercially relevant product. Key Responsibilities Assist in the design and development of seasonal apparel collections. Conduct trend, market, and competitive research to identify product opportunities. Create inspiration boards, color palettes, presentations, and seasonal concepts. Develop sketches, technical flats, and design documentation. Prepare design packages and communicate product information to internal teams and external partners. Partner with cross-functional teams throughout the product development and sample process. Review samples and assist with revisions to maintain design intent. Attend fittings and support design comments and approvals. Maintain accurate design files, line plans, and development documentation. Assist with presentations and other design-related projects as needed. Manage multiple projects and deadlines within the seasonal development calendar. Must-Have Qualifications Experience in women’s apparel design, with a strong contemporary fashion taste level and commercial eye. Experience supporting or designing product for off-price and/or licensed apparel businesses. Strong understanding of seasonal development calendars and deadlines, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities. Strong sketching and technical drawing skills. Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, including the ability to create initial design specifications and detailed technical flats. Experience creating and maintaining tech packs, including garment details, construction information, fabrications, trims, and other product specifications. Working knowledge of Bills of Materials (BOMs) and the information required for product development and production. Understanding of the product development process from initial concept through sample review and production. What We’re Looking For The ideal candidate is: Creative, motivated, and eager to learn.
