Housekeeping Houseperson

Essential Functions and Responsibilities Reports to work as scheduled, in proper uniform, in accordance with the company's personal appearance standards Consistently maintains a friendly positive attitude that ensures a positive guest experience and recognizes returning guests Follow and adhere to all policies and procedures as set forth by the Housekeeping Department Follows proper etiquette when communicating over the radio Responds, follows, and closes HotSOS and other requests when assigned by proper usage of Rexx/radio Assists room attendants by emptying trash and soiled linen from housekeeping carts Maintains the following areas at all times: public rest rooms, hotel lobby levels, ashtrays, elevators, tracks, ice machine areas, stairwells, building entrance, and hallways Handles guests with excellent guest relations skills Clean back‑of‑house windows as needed Vacuum guest hallways daily Uses proper chemicals when cleaning as described by the department's procedures Attends all departmental meetings as scheduled Performs all duties in a timely and efficient manner Maintains linen closets clean, stocked, and organized Brought trash to compactor at the end of the day Washes guest room glassware and delivers it to linen closets Brings dirty glassware to housekeeping at the end of the shift Performs all other duties as directed by management that are consistent with the policies and procedures of the company Notifies immediate supervisors promptly and fully of all problems or unusual matters of significance Is polite, friendly, and helpful to guests, management, and fellow team members Attends all appropriate hotel meetings and training sessions Maintains cleanliness and excellent condition of equipment and work area Executes emergency procedures in accordance with hotel standards Complies with safety regulations and procedures Complies with hotel policies and rules Recycles whenever possible Remains current with hotel information and changes Supportive Functions and Responsibilities Promotes and applies teamwork skills at all times Notifies the appropriate individual promptly and fully of problems and/or unusual matters of significance Complies with hotel uniform and grooming standards Qualifications Previous experience an asset Able to work as part of a dynamic quality‑driven team Basic English language skills Requires extensive standing, walking, lifting and bending Able to push, stand, stoop, bend, and lift items weighing up to 150 pounds repetitively during the entire shift Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays Must be customer‑service orientated and have excellent hospitality skills Physical Demands On their feet over 2/3 of the time Walking over 2/3 of the time Using hands to handle, feel or point over 2/3 of the time Stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling 1/3 of the time Using listening and communication skills 2/3 of the time Able to push, pull, and carry 150 lbs Vision Requirements Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less) Distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more) Peripheral vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point) Depth perception (three‑dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships) #J-18808-Ljbffr Loews Hotels, LLC.
