Sr Trade Compliance Specialist

Role Summary The Export Compliance Analyst will manage ECCN and HTS classification and export license determination for technology products and services, ensuring all orders comply with U.S. Export Control laws and regulations. Responsibilities Determine ECCN and HTS classifications for hardware, software, services, and technology products across multiple industries. Perform export, re‑export, and in‑country transfer license determinations in accordance with the EAR and the Commerce Control List. Utilize resources such as the Harmonized Tariff Schedule, Cross rulings, vendor classification information, and CCATS to research and confirm classifications and encryption levels. Identify hold reasons, assess compliance requirements, and resolve issues to meet SLA thresholds. Validate and maintain accurate ECCN and HTS classifications within Ingram’s ERP and export systems of record. Prepare on‑demand reports and SKU lists for Compliance Specialists and management. Upload approved classification data and manage vendor classification price lists, including analysis and upload file preparation. Maintain vendor and internal compliance contact lists and manage classification request mailbox. Troubleshoot processing delays, errors, and exceptions; support end‑of‑day reconciliation to ensure SLA compliance. Develop and maintain SOPs, process flows, and FAQs under guidance of senior colleagues. Support compliance projects and provide guidance to peers on classification and compliance processes. Prepare metrics, KPIs, and reporting to benchmark classification activity and trends; recommend continuous process improvements. Conduct and administer compliance audits as directed; provide administrative support for regulatory reporting. Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of the EAR and collaborate with the trade compliance team to interpret regulations. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree. 5+ years of trade compliance experience. Working knowledge of the Export Administration Regulations. Proficiency in determining ECCN classifications from the Commerce Control List. Proficiency in determining HTS classifications across multiple country tariffs. Excellent time‑management, prioritization, and organizational skills. Business‑oriented, pragmatic approach to challenges in a fast‑paced environment. Flexible, positive and hardworking team player. Intermediate proficiency with MS Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP. Results‑oriented mindset with strong customer focus and sound judgment and decision‑making. Compensation and Benefits Base pay range: USD $78,000.00 – $124,800.00 per year, plus potential additional rewards such as merit increases, annual bonuses, and long‑term incentives.
