The Deputy Director is responsible for strategic leadership and oversight of services within the Division, specifically in the areas of waiver eligibility and enrollment, quality initiatives for Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS), Medicaid waiver management and compliance, policy oversight and legislative coordination, and Special Health Care Programs.We are dedicated to our mission of Helping People Live Better Lives.Salary: Salary will be commensurate with education and experience, if approved.Location: This is an in-office role based out of the Nebraska State Office Building.Examples of Work:The Deputy Director of Eligibility, Policy, and Quality will support the Division's operations through:Planning, coordinating, and implementing the overall quality strategy for the provision of community-based services;Providing policy and waiver management to support the provision of services, to comply with waiver requirements, and to conform with any state and federal laws and regulations;Managing the program operations of the Special Health Care Programs;Managing the eligibility and enrollment process to support quality and timely customer service for participants seeking access to services; andManaging the data analytics team.This job requires the successful candidate be able to:Interact with stakeholders on behalf of the Division Director to promote system reform and transparency;Monitor and communicate Division objectives, activities, and potential areas of concern as well as propose remedies to the Director and the leadership team; andInitiate and engage in efforts to ensure services are provided in an appropriate manner that conforms to waiver requirements and the overall values of the Division.Requirements / Qualifications:Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in human services, public/business administration, social/behavioral science, or closely related field and a minimum of 8 years of experience working in program oversight, policy development, and /or quality management that supports persons with intellectual/developmental disabilities or physical disabilities and the aging populations .
