Auxiliary Operator – Role Summary As an Auxiliary Operator, you will work in collaboration with our facility control room to operate and inspect various power plant systems safely and efficiently to ensure the operational effectiveness of Reworld's industrial disposal process. Position Responsibilities Operate and inspect power plant systems in accordance with safety operating procedures, including boilers, air pollution control systems, ash systems, heavy industrial equipment, and other related systems. Monitor and inspect boiler plant auxiliary equipment such as pumps, motors, fans, dampers, air compressors, valves, mixers, conveyors, turbine generators, and electrical devices. Read and interpret data from meters, gauges, and industrial measuring tools to identify trends and potential equipment disruptions. Monitor air pollution control equipment. Perform material sampling, chemistry testing, and treatment of water as required. Safely operate heavy industrial mobile equipment such as cranes, skid steers, loaders, and forklifts. Maintain correct levels of refuse‑fuel in operation equipment and ensure appropriate refuse mix in designated pits and operations areas. Execute additional duties as assigned to ensure safe and efficient facility operations. Position Requirements & Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent. Minimum 2–3 years of experience operating a boiler, heavy industrial equipment, or performing maintenance. Experience with chemistry testing (preferred). Ability to work a rotating 12‑hour shift schedule, days and nights, with additional overtime as needed. Physical Demands of the Role Ability to walk, stand, sit, and climb. Ability to lift or carry up to 50lbs. Ability to work from heights and in confined spaces. Requirement to wear a full‑face respirator. Ability to work in various weather conditions. Pay Transparency The pay range for the primary location is $60,000.00 – $79,900.00USD. This range reflects Reworld’s estimate of base pay for this role based on the posting location. The final salary will be determined by factors such as experience, education, geographic location, skills, competencies, travel requirements, and any applicable union contracts.
