Mechanic

This role involves performing troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance on a wide range of industrial equipment in an indoor and outdoor production environment. You will work with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to keep operations running safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Perform troubleshooting and diagnosis on industrial equipment to identify mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues.
• Conduct preventive maintenance on equipment to reduce downtime and extend asset life.
• Repair and maintain pneumatic and hydraulic systems, including cylinders, valves, hoses, and related components.
• Inspect, service, and repair gearboxes and conveyor systems to ensure reliable material handling.
• Perform electrical troubleshooting on equipment and systems to resolve faults and restore operation.
• Carry out repairs and maintenance on forklifts and other material handling equipment, as needed.
• Use welding skills to repair or fabricate components and support equipment maintenance.
• Document maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage in a clear and accurate manner.
• Follow safety procedures and best practices while working in an industrial production environment.
• Collaborate with other maintenance and production team members to prioritize and complete work efficiently.
• Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying recurring issues and recommending long-term solutions.

Job Type & Location

This is a contract position based out of Stockton, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.60 - $33.45/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
