Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36 Hours Per Week Guaranteed | Every Other Weekend Required | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 24-bed Telemetry unit with a 4:1 patient-to-nurse ratio, serving a generalized cardiac population ranging from young adults to elderly adults
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and telemetry data using Life Pak, Zoll, and Masimo equipment
• Manage common cardiac diagnoses and treatments including chest pain, A-fib, CHF, pre- and post-care for cardiac catheterizations (groin and radial approaches), and VATS
• Document all patient care accurately and in a timely manner using the Cerner electronic health record system
• Occasionally float to IMCU, NPCU, and/or Surgical units as needed to support staffing requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in North Carolina or compact state eligibility
• Minimum of 2 years of Telemetry or Cardiac/Tele nursing experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Proficiency with Life Pak, Zoll, and Masimo monitoring equipment
• Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher required
• Must reside 60 or more miles from the facility to qualify as a travel candidate

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Cerner electronic health record system
• Prior experience in a cardiac catheterization pre- and post-care setting
• Familiarity with IMCU or progressive care unit environments
