Travel RN - Rehab - In Patient

American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for an Inpatient Rehabilitation (IRF) night shift position in Madison, WI, requiring at least 1 year of nursing experience in a skilled nursing or 24/7 skilled care environment.

Job Details

• Free-standing, 50-bed acute inpatient rehabilitation facility located in Madison, WI,
• Inpatient rehab unit serving adult patients with high-acuity needs, including stroke, brain and spinal cord injuries, amputations, and complex orthopedic injuries,
• Patient ratio of 1:7,
• 12-hour night shifts, 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM,
• Every other weekend required, with holiday rotation,
• Call requirements are in place for this position,
• Equipment includes ceiling lifts, Sara Stedy and Sara Plus, slide boards, vital sign machines, EKG machines, and BGM,
• EMR: Epic,
• Float to a satellite IRF facility within 20 minutes may be required in the future; no floating currently required,
• 13-week contract,

Job Requirements

• Active WI or compact RN license required,
• Current AHA BLS certification required,
• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience in a skilled nursing or 24/7 skilled care environment,
• Med-Surg or inpatient rehabilitation experience strongly preferred,
• Social Security number required for consideration,
• Date of birth required for consideration,

Additional Information

• CARF-accredited for Comprehensive Integrated Inpatient Rehabilitation Program and Stroke Specialty Program; also accredited by The Joint Commission,
• The unit can reach high acuity levels and operates similarly to a Med-Surg unit; all nurses are expected to assist CNAs and respond to call lights as needed for patient safety,
• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position,
• Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible,
• Candidates who are employed full-time elsewhere are not eligible,
• Local candidates are not accepted for this position
