Job Title Director of Community Engagement, School of Public Health – University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) About the Role The Director of Community Engagement provides strategic leadership for building, sustaining, and expanding partnerships that advance the mission, visibility, and enrollment goals of the UNLV School of Public Health (SPH). Core responsibilities include designing and implementing outreach and recruitment strategies that attract undergraduate and graduate students whose backgrounds, experiences, and aspirations reflect the diverse demographics of the Las Vegas metropolitan community; strengthening educational pathways for individuals historically underrepresented in public health and healthcare professions; ensuring a future public health workforce prepared to serve diverse populations of Southern Nevada; supporting the Nevada Community Health Coalition; collaborating with the Center for Health Disparities and the Nevada Institute for Children’s Research and Policy; and conducting community-based participatory research through community engagement, education, research, and service‑learning opportunities for historically underserved student and community populations. Minimum Qualifications Master’s degree from an accredited institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). 3–5 years of professional, management, and supervisory experience. All credentials must be obtained prior to the employment start date. Preferred Qualifications Experience with community-based participatory research, including assessment, evaluation, and data analysis. Experience with budget management and financial accounting.
