Position The University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for the position of Lecturer/Senior Lecturer/Assistant Professor‑in‑Residence of Cybersecurity in the Lee Business School (R0150760). Role This is a 9‑month, non‑tenure track position with a teaching load of 4 courses (12 credits) per semester, 2 semesters per year, all online undergraduate courses in cybersecurity. The position is housed in the Department of Information Systems and involves advising, mentoring, course development, service activities, and fostering a sense of belonging and community within the online program. Responsibilities Teach 4 online undergraduate courses each semester (12 credits total per semester). Advising and mentoring students in cybersecurity. Develop and continually improve course materials and syllabi. Engage in service activities that support the departmental and university mission. Create a welcoming and inclusive learning environment for all students. Minimum Qualifications Master’s degree in a cybersecurity‑related field (Information Systems, Computer Science, etc.) from an accredited institution. Preferred Qualifications Ph.D. in a cybersecurity‑related field. Evidence of effective and impactful online teaching. Academic or industry experience in technology or cybersecurity. Certifications relevant to the field of cybersecurity. Technical skills related to the use of and instruction of cybersecurity tools. Title Determination Candidate with a terminal Ph.D. will be considered for the title of Assistant Professor‑in‑Residence. Candidate with a master’s degree and significant experience will be considered for Senior Lecturer.
