Surgical Technologists : OR 40 hrs/week Day Shift

Job Overview Department/Unit: Operating Room Work Shift: Day (United States of America) Salary Range: $64,972.00 - $97,458.00 Surgical Technologists are allied health professionals who are an integral part of the team of practitioners providing surgical care to patients. Surgical technologists work under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN) and a surgeon to facilitate surgical procedures, ensuring that the operating room environment is safe, the equipment functions properly, and patient safety is maintained. The surgical technologist handles the instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during the surgical procedure and has an understanding of the procedure to anticipate the surgeon’s needs. He/she is constantly vigilant for maintenance of the sterile field and is able to function independently in the scrub role and as a circulator under the supervision of the Registered Professional Nurse. This role may require on‑call duties and rotating shifts as well.
