DutiesProviding proactive assistance to the dentist across all phases of dental treatment, including surgical, periodontal, endodontic, and prosthodontic procedures.Performing advanced, reversible intra-oral procedures such as placing, condensing, carving, and finishing simple amalgam and synthetic restorations.Taking preliminary dental impressions and fabricating custom impression trays.Safely exposing and developing both intra-oral and extra-oral dental radiographs.Sterilizing instruments and equipment.Managing dental station supplies.Assisting patients with completing medical histories and accurately recording treatment and examination data as dictated by the dentist.Instructing patients on preventive dental care, demonstrating proper oral hygiene techniques and explaining the dietary causes of tooth decay.
