Merit is a contract manufacturer that makes personal care products, cleaning products, and much more. We formulate, mix, bottle, and ship products for nationwide brands.

Merit is located in Sterling Heights, Michigan, where we have two facilities less than a mile apart. We've poured over 15 million products and served over 13 million end users. Our continued growth has forced us to move locations 3 times in the last 3 years, and while we don't expect to need a new warehouse soon, we aren't planning to slow down.

Summary of the position:

The Product Inspector is responsible for daily review of standard operations on the production floor. They review finished products and assist line leads with performing regular quality checks of products during operation.

The Product Inspector reports directly to the Quality Assurance Manager and assists with product validation tests and other Quality Assurance projects. They also help with the preparation and verification of shipping documents and packaging labels.

This role is responsible for learning the procedures and regulations held in place by Merit management and expected to help enforce these regulations on a daily basis.

• Monitor production lines for quality
• Perform quality checks of products
• Follow procedure to record test results
• Follow GMP documentation guidelines
• Assist production as needed during production

This is a salaried position.

Qualifications:

• Acute attention to detail
• Clear communication skills
• Microsoft Office experience and capability
• Consistent work ethic
• Passion for delivering great products to customers
• Quality control or quality assurance experience a plus
• Manufacturing experience a plus
• Ability to lift 50 lbs
• Ability to stand for longer than 2 hours
