Production Technician - Night Shift

The Production Technician sets up and operates one or more wire drawing machines. Positions and secures specified dies in dieholder, using hand tools. Lifts coil of wire onto feed reel, and threads it through dies. Coats wire with lubricant to facilitate drawing machine and starts machine. Inspects and measures drawn wire to verify conformance to specified shape, size and resistance, using instruments such as wire gauges and micrometers, replaces worn dies by using hand tools. Performs tensile strength and other tests and records test data on proper form.

Duties & Responsibilities include inspecting machine and equipment, determining wire size, checking wire tolerances, repairing breaks, ensuring material is packaged according to specifications, performing safety inspections, and assisting other employees.

Schedule: Mon-Wed 5pm-5am and Thurs-Fri 7pm-5am

Compensation: Starting pay is $21.85/hour + $1.00 per hour Shift Differential + Monthly Incentive Payments based on meeting operational metrics after the 90-day probationary period is complete.

Required Qualifications include fluency in English, ability to read and interpret documents, ability to write routine reports, ability to speak effectively, and ability to solve practical problems.

Preferred Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED equivalent, one to two years of experience in a manufacturing environment, certification as a forklift operator, and certification as a certified welder.

Materials and Equipment Directly Used include standard office equipment and personal protective equipment.
