Resident Concierge

Cobble Hill Health Center is seeking a warm, welcoming, and service-oriented Resident Concierge to join our team! The Resident Concierge serves as a key point of contact for residents and their families, helping create a positive experience from admission and throughout their stay.

Schedule: Sunday–Thursday, 12:00 PM–8:00 PM

Pay Rate: $20.00–$23.00 per hour

Position Summary

The Resident Concierge is responsible for promoting resident and family satisfaction by creating a welcoming, supportive, responsive, and hospitality-focused environment. This position acts as an advocate and resource for residents and families, helping address non-clinical needs and ensuring concerns are communicated to the appropriate department.

A major focus of the position is creating an exceptional new admission experience. The Resident Concierge will work closely with Admissions, Nursing, Social Services, Housekeeping, Maintenance, Dietary, Recreation, and other departments to ensure new residents and their families receive a warm, organized, and personalized welcome.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a welcoming and consistent point of contact for residents and families.
• Conduct proactive resident rounding to check on resident satisfaction and identify non-clinical needs or concerns.
• Assist residents and families with questions, requests, and general concerns.
• Listen to resident and family feedback and ensure concerns are communicated to the appropriate department.
• Follow up on concerns and requests to help ensure timely and appropriate resolution.
• Help create a positive, hospitality-focused experience for residents, families, and visitors.
• Coordinate with multiple departments to ensure resident needs are addressed.
• Support the admissions process by helping prepare for new resident arrivals.
• Assist in creating a warm and organized welcome for new residents and their families.
• Help ensure rooms and common areas are prepared and welcoming prior to new admissions, in coordination with the appropriate departments.
• Provide families with general information about facility services, amenities, schedules, activities, and resources.
• Help residents become familiar with the facility and available services.
• Assist with special requests and service recovery when appropriate.
• Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and a resident-first approach at all times.
• Document and communicate relevant non-clinical concerns and follow-up as required.
• Immediately refer all clinical, medical, safety, or resident-care concerns to the appropriate nursing staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

New Admission Experience

The Resident Concierge will play an important role in making every new resident and family feel welcomed from day one. Responsibilities may include:

• Coordinating with Admissions and other departments before a resident's arrival.
• Helping ensure the resident's room is ready and welcoming.
• Greeting residents and families upon arrival.
• Helping residents and families become familiar with the facility.
• Providing information regarding dining, recreation, schedules, amenities, and facility services.
• Identifying questions or concerns and connecting families with the appropriate department.
• Following up after admission to ensure the resident and family are settling in comfortably.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, healthcare, senior living, hotel services, or a related field preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Warm, friendly, and professional demeanor.
• Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, visitors, and staff.
• Ability to handle concerns with patience, empathy, and professionalism.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with multiple departments.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, resident-focused environment.
• Must be able to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
• Healthcare experience is a plus but is not required.

Important Role Boundaries

The Resident Concierge is a non-clinical position. This role does not provide nursing care, personal care, administer medications, assess medical conditions, or make clinical decisions.

Any clinical, medical, safety, or resident-care concern must be immediately referred to the appropriate nursing or clinical staff.
