(USA) Member Specialist

Position Summary An associate in Member Frontline Services is responsible for providing member service, maintaining the checkout and entrance areas, resolving member issues, promoting products and services, assisting with payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges, and maintaining safety and security standards. What you’ll do Provides member service. Maintains the checkout area. Resolves member issues and concerns. Promotes Sam’s Club products and services. Provides guidance and support to members regarding self‑service technology. Processes member purchases. Assists with payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges according to company policies and procedures for different membership and payment types. Follows company safety standards, procedures, and guidelines, including conducting safety sweeps. Follows proper procedures for handling merchandise. Corrects and reports unsafe situations to facility management. Maintains entrance areas, acknowledges members, verifies membership cards, and identifies member needs. Assists members with purchasing decisions and locating merchandise. Promotes the company’s products and services and zones the area. Arranges and organizes merchandise. Assists members with transporting items. Maintains a safe shopping environment. Maintains exit areas, reviews member receipts, and identifies member needs. Assists with securing and safeguarding Sam’s Club assets by observing and communicating potential criminal activity. Maintains paperwork, logs, and other required documentation. Executes emergency response procedures and ensures compliance with company security and safety practices. Assists with the training of Member Frontline Services associates on company processes and procedures. Teaches new technology and tool functionality and delivers new program rollout training. Provides continuous learning and process improvement opportunities. Ensures area of responsibility is maintained in accordance with company policies and procedures by properly handling returns, zoning the area, arranging and organizing merchandise, and identifying shrink and damages. Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans; using the Open Door Policy; and applying these in executing business processes and practices. Completes work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources; collaborating with managers, co‑workers, customers, and other business partners; identifying priorities, deadlines, and expectations; carrying out tasks; communicating progress and information; determining and recommending ways to address improvement opportunities; and adapting to and learning from change, difficulties, and feedback. The hourly wage range for this position is $18.00 to $26.00 per hour.
