Job Title: Travel Registered Nurse – PACU (Recovery Room)
Location: Hyannis, MA
Type: Contract | 13 Weeks

Shift & Schedule: Day Shift | 5x8 Hours | 40 Hours Per Week
Shift Options: 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM OR 1:00 PM – 9:30 PM
No Weekends | No Holidays | No On-Call

Pay Rate: $66 - $77/hour

Position Overview:

We are seeking a Registered Nurse – PACU (Recovery Room) for an exciting Travel job in Hyannis, MA. The RN will provide high-quality post-anesthesia care to surgical patients, ensuring safe recovery from anesthesia and optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive post-anesthesia nursing care utilizing the nursing process.

• Monitor patients recovering from anesthesia, including airway, hemodynamic stability, and neurological status.

• Administer and monitor medications and IV therapies.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments and recovery progress.

• Recognize and respond promptly to post-operative complications and emergencies.

• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.

• Educate patients and families regarding post-operative recovery and discharge planning.

• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and infection control protocols.

• Support charge nurse responsibilities and assist with unit workflow as needed.

• Participate in quality improvement and patient care evaluation initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Active Massachusetts Registered Nurse License.

• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in ICU, CVICU, CVPA, ER, SDC, or PACU within the last 5 years.

• BLS Certification.

• ACLS Certification.

• PALS Certification.

• Ability to pass facility pharmacology and arrhythmia examinations.

• Strong skills in IV starts, hemodynamic monitoring, and ventilator care.

Preferred Qualifications

• BSN Degree.

• Prior PACU experience.

• Prior Same Day Care experience.

• Demonstrated ability to function in high-acuity post-operative environments.
