Role Description

This is a part-time on-site role for a Personal Chef/Area Manager based in the Lincoln Metropolitan Area. The role involves Operations Management, Client Relationship, and Business Development.  As an Area Manager you will be given the opportunity to  help build the business and eventually recruit chefs to work under you.  The personal Chef role involves planning and preparing personalized, nutritious meals in clients' homes while adhering to dietary needs and preferences. The Personal Chef ensures that all food is prepared safely and maintains a clean cooking environment. The position also includes shopping for fresh ingredients and fostering positive relationships with clients to meet their culinary and dietary requirements.

• $25/hour minimum with some services paying up to $40/hour!
• Your choice of 3-or 6-hour workdays
• Your choice of days to work
• PART TIME ONLY - The most I can offer is ~30/hours per week.

Qualifications

• Ability to pass a background check.
• Proficiency in meal preparation, cooking, and menu planning with attention to dietary needs and preferences.
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation standards, and proper handling of ingredients.
• Ability to manage time effectively and independently perform duties in clients' homes.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and deliver exceptional customer service.
• Preferred experience with senior nutrition and special diets.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and the ability to travel within the Omaha Metropolitan Area.
• Working Smartphone to run our meal prep and scheduling apps.
• Culinary education or certification is a plus, but relevant experience will also be considered.

Ideally, I'm looking for someone that has very strong interpersonal skills FIRST and is a well-organized, multi-tasking cook SECOND.

• There is no job qualification more important than you're a great people person and you know your way around in the kitchen (can cook well).
• If you are a local restaurant line cook, sous chef, or other fast-paced cook with a great personality, looking for flexible daytime work you might be a good fit.
• If you are a retired schoolteacher with a lifetime of experience in your home kitchen, looking for flexible part-time work, you might be a good fit.

Job Description:

• Meet with Potential Clients for Consultations.
• Shop for the groceries and ingredients according to a pre-determined meal plan/menu chosen by the client.
• Arrive at client's home, unpack groceries and your personal chef kit containing all cookware, knives, pots, pans, skillets etc. required to prepare your meals.
• Prepare four separate, nutritious meals.
• Portion, store, label and refrigerate/freeze meals.
• Clean up, determine next service menu with clients, and depart.
