Position Overview The Clinical Supervisor plays an essential role in overseeing and guiding supervisees, providing clinical supervision, ensuring the quality of client care, supporting professional development, and managing the supervisory team. Responsibilities Provide regular triadic supervision to Associate Psychotherapists. Monitor and evaluate clinical work while offering guidance, feedback, and support. Promote collaboration and a growth‑oriented mindset. Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and evidence‑based interventions. Oversee client case management, ensuring effective treatment planning, appropriate interventions, and coordination of care. Request case presentations or video recordings to ensure adherence to clinical protocols, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements. Encourage employee development, measure performance, and highlight achievements. Coach to achieve successful results and enhance employee satisfaction. Recognize skill gaps and provide training to improve performance and professional development. Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback. Address employee relations and performance issues promptly and implement corrective actions with HR support. Establish and maintain quality assurance measures to evaluate effectiveness and outcomes of clinical services. Conduct regular audits of clinical documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with organizational standards. Address and resolve issues related to quality of client care. Foster a positive supervisory team culture through effective communication and interpersonal skills. Collaborate with other departments such as administration and intake to ensure seamless service delivery and support team requests in a timely manner. Ensure supervisees adhere to ethical standards, confidentiality requirements, and legal regulations. Stay informed about changes in relevant laws and regulations affecting clinical practice. Maintain accurate, up‑to‑date records of supervision sessions, including progress notes and performance evaluations. Prepare reports for organizational leadership and documentation for recognition and disciplinary actions. Qualifications Master's degree or PhD/PsyD in psychology, social work, or counseling. Clinical licensure (PhD, PsyD) required in the State of California. Proven experience in clinical supervision within a healthcare or mental health setting. Strong knowledge of clinical best practices, treatment modalities, and regulatory requirements. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
