Shift: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM, 5 shifts per week, 40 scheduled hours. Start date: 09/08/2026, end date: 12/08/2026, duration: 13 weeks.

Description: Same day surgery. Shift will be 36 or 40 hours. No call but late days are a requirement. Required certs: BLS, ACLS (preferred).

• WMC Agency Permit: $224.80/month, $748.58 per 100-day permit. 24/7 access to Wexner Medical Center Garage (guaranteed availability).
• WB Permit: $16.35/month. Weekend/holiday access to 9th Ave East & West Garages. 24/7 access to West Campus surface lots (WB/WC spaces). Shuttle service provided to the medical center.
• CXS Permit: $32.83/month. Weekend/holiday access to 9th Ave East & West Garages. 24/7 access to Buckeye (CX) and West Campus surface lots.

Job requirements & qualifications:

• Previous charge experience: 2 years of experience.
• Certifications: ACLS*, BLS
• Skills: Abdominal/vaginal hysterectomy, administration of blood & blood products, anterior/posterior repair (colporrhaphy), bilateral tubal ligation, breast augmentation, cardiac monitoring, carpal tunnel release, cell saver, cholecystectomy, closed reduction of fractures, code response, colon resection, conscious sedation monitoring, cystectomy, cystoscopy, dilation & curettage, endoscopic sinus procedures, fiber optic light sources/cords, fire safety, gastric bypass, gastric sleeve, Hana table, hernia repair inguinal/umbilical, infection control, lap band, laparoscopic assisted cases, laparoscopic assisted gynecological procedures, laparoscopic assisted procedures, laser safety, latex allergy, malignant hyperthermia, mastectomy, mastectomy with tram flap reconstruction, mastoidectomy/tympanoplasty/stapedectomy, metatarsal surgery, open reduction of fractures, peg tube placement/exchange, prostatectomy, radiation safety, scrub bariatric surgery, scrub endoscopic surgery, scrub ENT surgery, scrub general surgery, scrub gynecology surgery, scrub orthopedic surgeries, scrub plastics surgery, scrub podiatry surgery, scrub urology surgery, septoplasty/rhinoplasty, specimen handling/labeling, starting peripheral IVs, steris, thyroidectomy partial/total, tonsillectomy/adenoidectomy, total joint replacement, tracheostomy, transurethral resection of the prostate, universal protocol (time out) procedure, urinary bladder catheterization, wound management.

Patient age groups: Adolescents, adults, geriatrics. Daily census: 23-28. Number of rooms: 6. Number of beds: 6.

Interdisciplinary support: Physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, rapid response teams, pharmacy, unit secretary.

Travel compliance: There is a strict compliance deadline of Tuesday prior to start, no exceptions. Please screen for any candidate vacation time taking place immediately after booking as this will likely cause a push due to fingerprinting delays. Please only submit to one location. The AM team will find the best fit for the clinician. PLEASE NOTE: ALL CANDIDATES MUST BE MADE AWARE OF THE URGENCY OF THE OHIO FINGERPRINTING PROCESS. Candidate must complete fingerprints as soon as they sign contract. TRAVELERS WHO ARE UNRESPONSIVE OR UNCOOPERATIVE WITH CREDENTIALING ARE AT RISK OF PUSH/CANCEL. All candidates who are currently outside the state of Ohio but within driving distance will be required to drive to a fingerprinting location in Ohio as soon as possible after booking. Travelers who are extreme distances from Ohio will be mailed a fingerprinting packet, which is to be completed urgently upon receipt. Detailed instructions will be sent to the candidate by the Credentialing team. RTO required with submission, must be built into contract. Locals are accepted at the same rate. Reference requirements: 2 professional references are required. At least 1 reference must be from a manager/director or someone in a formal leadership capacity (e.g., a supervisor). Charge RN acceptable for 2nd reference. No coworker references accepted. Former employees are eligible for a travel assignment once they have been away from the facility for 6 months or more. Current employees are ineligible to be hired as a traveler at any Ohio State University hospital location. RNs- must have valid compact or state license in hand at time of submission. MRI techs - submittals without OH license are acceptable. Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program. Guaranteed hours: Contract weeks: 91.
