Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Quality Improvement/Quality Assurance, human services, psychology, or related social science field, or LVN license. Two (2) years of experience in the mental health field or a QA position, preferably in an in‑patient setting. Two (2) years of experience in QA/TQM preferred. One (1) year experience in LACDMH clinical documentation preferred. Valid CA driver’s license with a clean driving record. Responsibilities The Quality Assurance Specialist assists the QA Manager in executing quality assurance program policies and procedures for the Crisis Residential Treatment facilities. Key duties include: Auditing documentation to reconcile with billing and ensuring compliance with Medi‑Cal, Los Angeles County DMH, and other agencies. Overseeing documentation of services by staff to assure conformity with internal standards and policies. Managing charts with deficiencies and processing them to the appropriate department for correction. Ensuring discharged charts are closed correctly and completed. Assisting with oversight of the Continuous Quality Assurance program, medical records, and CIS data. Coordinating and developing CQI presentations and gathering information for presentations. Collecting and analyzing agency data to support quality control, assurance, and improvement efforts. Maintaining chart documentation and data collection for L.A. County sites. Division/Program Overview 16‑bed facilities. Designed for adults with mental health challenges or a recent crisis needing intensive treatment. 24/7 programs as an alternative to urgent care or hospitalization. On‑site, homelike setting for short‑term stays with counseling and basic life skills training.
