Registered Veterinary Technician

Job Description We are looking for a full‑time Registered Veterinary Technician to join our growing team of veterinarians, technicians, and support staff in Laytonsville, Maryland. Wage: $20–$25 per hour, based on experience. Responsibilities Perform critical tasks in exam rooms and surgeries, including collecting patient histories and providing client education on vaccination protocols. Perform in‑house laboratory work (Idexx Procyte, Catalyst One, Snap Pro) and monitor anesthesia during surgical procedures. Practice and guide safe restraint techniques and assist with urgent care and hospitalized patient treatments. Support soft‑tissue surgeries, dental procedures, ultrasound, and digital radiography. Help maintain a clean and organized clinical environment. Qualifications Active Licensed Veterinary Technician credential (Maryland). Proven experience in veterinary exam rooms, preventive care, laboratory equipment, anesthesia monitoring, and patient care. Experience with surgical and anesthetic procedures. Comfortable with handling a variety of pet species. Proficiency in the use of a practice management software (EzyVet preferred). Graduate of an AVMA‑accredited Veterinary Technician program. One year of veterinary industry experience preferred. Schedule & Perks Full‑time position with rotating Saturdays, 12‑8 pm late‑night rotations for urgent care, and a Sunday shift every 4 months.
