Job Details Location: Iconavest Operating LLC – Avalon, NJ 08202 Title: Restaurant Food Runner Classification: Non‑Exempt Reports To: Food and Beverage Manager Summary/Objective The Restaurant Food Runner is responsible for setting tables, serving food orders, and removing used dishes and utensils. Essential Functions Maintains the cleanliness and sanitation of the dining area, including all tables and chairs. Prepares dining room for guests by cleaning and clothing tables, setting decorations, condiments, candles, napkins, service plates and utensils. Prepares all beverages required for service, including coffee, iced tea, and hot water. Communicates food orders to chefs, paying attention to priorities and special requests, such as food allergies. Delivers food orders from the kitchen to guests’ tables quickly and accurately. Checks in with guests, takes additional orders or refills water as needed. Closes dining room by cleaning chairs and tables; sweeping and/or vacuuming floors; removing trash. Presents a neat and clean uniform, well‑groomed hair, and proper personal hygiene. Ensures all guests are treated in a manner that guarantees their complete satisfaction and strives to exceed expectations. Performs other duties as directed. Attends weekly Aloha Culture Meetings. Work Environment This position operates in a restaurant setting. The noise level can be loud. The employee may be exposed to hazards, including cuts, slips, trips, falls, and burns. Frequent hand washing is required. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and crouching. The position may require lifting products weighing up to 25 pounds. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Prior restaurant experience. Additional Eligibility Qualifications Compliant with state Alcoholic Beverage Control regulations.
