Client Retention Associate, Insurance

About the Role

We are hiring a ?Client Retention Associate to support and grow our client retention efforts.? This role focuses on maintaining strong client relationships, proactively addressing at-risk accounts and ensuring a high? quality client experience throughout the life? of the account.

Key Responsibilities

• Support renewal efforts by addressing concerns, resolving issues and reinforcing Proper's value

• ?Handle objections and provide coverage comparisons

• Collaborate cross-functionally with underwriting, ?C?AM team and support

• Maintain accurate notes and follow established retention workflows

• Manage retention conversations with existing clients

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in account management, customer support? or sales

• Strong communication skills and comfort handling difficult client conversations

• Coachable and receptive to feedback

• Highly organized ?and ?efficient with quick turnaround

• ?Comfortable working in a fast-paced? environment

What Success Looks Like

• Clear reduction in avoidable cancellations and improved client satisfaction

• Clients feel heard, supported and confident in continuing their relationship? with Proper

• Retention conversations are timely, professional and well documented

• Strong partnership with retention team and Director of Retention

Compensation:

Disclosure required under applicable law in California, Colorado, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York, New Jersey, and Washington states: Total on-target earnings (OTE) for the position is $70,000-$80,000. The expected salary is $70,000 with an annual bonus up to $10,000 annually and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate's skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position's business line, scope and level.
