Job Description

Responsible for providing respiratory therapy care and life support to patients with cardiopulmonary system deficiencies and abnormalities, under supervision of physician. Principal accountabilities include evaluating prescriptions, administering aerosol medications, operating respiratory devices, monitoring patient responses, performing chest physiotherapy, assisting in diagnostic testing, maintaining patient charts, inspecting and testing equipment, providing patient education, and demonstrating respiratory care procedures.

Qualifications

Required: Associate of Science degree from an accredited respiratory therapist program, minimum 1+ years of Respiratory Care experience, credentialed as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC), active license for Respiratory Therapy in New Jersey, and Advanced and Basic Life Support certification. Highly preferred: Bachelor's Degree, critical care experience, previous experience with PFT studies and cardiopulmonary testing, current or past experience with EPIC charting, and credentialed as Certified or Registered Pulmonary Function Technologist.
