Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN Long Term Care (LTC) Long Term Care for a travel nursing job in Chicago, Illinois. This role involves providing compassionate and comprehensive nursing care within a long-term care setting. The RN is responsible for patient assessments, care planning, and supervision of nursing staff, ensuring safety and quality standards are met. Job Details Certifications: BLS Certification required prior to first shift; ACLS required prior to first shift (CIRH only). Education and Experience: Minimum two (2) years bedside clinical experience; experience in PCU or stepdown units highly desired; minimum one year of experience. Position Type: Full-Time, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week. Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, 36 hours per week. Responsibilities include performing nursing assessments within 8 hours of admission, developing and implementing individualized care plans, documenting patient care accurately and timely, participating in patient rehabilitation programs, initiating discharge planning, and providing effective communication among care team members. Supervisory duties include directing and training ancillary nursing personnel, delegating appropriate tasks, and assuming charge responsibilities following orientation. Additional duties involve ensuring safety, participating in team activities to foster a positive work environment, maintaining communication with management, and pursuing ongoing professional development. Candidates should demonstrate skills in patient assessment, care planning, team coordination, and safety practices.
