Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An exciting contract opportunity awaits physical therapists seeking a meaningful, part-time school-based position for the 2026/2027 academic year. In this role, you’ll work with Special Education students ages 3–22, delivering services across a range of dynamic environments to help them succeed in school and beyond. You’ll join a collaborative team focused on meeting each student’s diverse physical and educational needs.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Licensed Physical Therapist in the State of Texas
- Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy program, with fieldwork completed
- Valid driver’s license
- Adherence to Texas Board of Physical Therapy Examiners’ regulations and code of ethics
- Experience in pediatric or school settings is preferred
Responsibilities:
- Support Special Education students with direct therapy tailored to individual goals
- Engage in the referral, assessment, and IEP process, presenting findings and suggestions at annual, review, and dismissal meetings
- Collaborate with educational staff and families on IEP goal development and progress
- Provide expertise regarding assistive technology and adaptive equipment
- Deliver therapies in-person and virtually in school settings such as classrooms, hallways, playgrounds, and more
- Maintain accurate documentation and records in a timely manner
- Uphold confidentiality and professionalism in all communications
- Stay updated with best practices and pursue professional development
- Respond to additional assignments from the Director of Special Education as needed

- Proof of Texas PT licensure and college transcripts
- Willingness to complete any additional district onboarding documents
