Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An exciting contract opportunity awaits physical therapists seeking a meaningful, part-time school-based position for the 2026/2027 academic year. In this role, you’ll work with Special Education students ages 3–22, delivering services across a range of dynamic environments to help them succeed in school and beyond. You’ll join a collaborative team focused on meeting each student’s diverse physical and educational needs.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Licensed Physical Therapist in the State of Texas
• Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy program, with fieldwork completed
• Valid driver’s license
• Adherence to Texas Board of Physical Therapy Examiners’ regulations and code of ethics
• Experience in pediatric or school settings is preferred

Responsibilities:

• Support Special Education students with direct therapy tailored to individual goals
• Engage in the referral, assessment, and IEP process, presenting findings and suggestions at annual, review, and dismissal meetings
• Collaborate with educational staff and families on IEP goal development and progress
• Provide expertise regarding assistive technology and adaptive equipment
• Deliver therapies in-person and virtually in school settings such as classrooms, hallways, playgrounds, and more
• Maintain accurate documentation and records in a timely manner
• Uphold confidentiality and professionalism in all communications
• Stay updated with best practices and pursue professional development
• Respond to additional assignments from the Director of Special Education as needed
