Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Step into a rewarding role as a part-time Physical Therapist for the 2026/2027 school year, working with students ages 3–22 in a dynamic and supportive educational environment near Fabens, TX. This contract position focuses on supporting Special Education students, collaborating closely with school teams to enhance access and learning opportunities across various school settings—including classrooms, hallways, playgrounds, cafeterias, restrooms, and virtual platforms as needed.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Texas Physical Therapist license in good standing
- Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy program, including all required fieldwork
- Valid driver’s license
- Adherence to the Texas Board of Physical Therapy Examiners’ rules, regulations, and professional code of ethics
- School-based or pediatric experience preferred
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct physical therapy services to students with diverse needs
- Participate in referral processes, assessments, and IEP/ARD meetings
- Assist in setting and supporting standards-based IEP goals, including transition planning
- Facilitate use and adaptation of assistive technology and adaptive equipment
- Maintain thorough documentation of services and progress
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to maximize student participation and outcomes
- Remain informed about current best practices and fulfill required professional development
- Uphold the highest standards of professionalism, confidentiality, and communication
