You will support patients across units such as medical-surgical, telemetry, emergency department, and intensive care, adjusting your interventions to meet diverse needs. Responsibilities can include ventilator setup and monitoring, assisting with intubations, obtaining and processing arterial blood gases, and responding to respiratory-related rapid calls in collaboration with the care team. You will use modern respiratory equipment and work within a structured documentation system using the facility's EMR. Patient assignments and ratios are designed to balance safe, attentive care with the realities of a busy community hospital. Shifts may include days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays, offering different scheduling options depending on department needs.
