PRN Retail Pharmacy Technician (Bilingual Spanish)

Pharmacy Technician (Community Health Center Pharmacy)Cardinal Health is looking for a highly motivated technician to work in a company owned retail contract pharmacy. Our technicians play an important role in delivering medication and pharmaceutical care in communities that are most in need. This includes developing close relationships with patients in communities we serve and assisting the pharmacists in accurately preparing and delivering prescription medication.This is a per diem position mainly covering PTOs and requires flexibility.Bilingual - must be able to read, write, and speak both English and Spanish.Pharmacy Hours:Monday – Friday: 8:30am - 5:00pmSaturday: 8:30am - 5:00pmTuesday - Wednesday - Thursday: 8:30am – 7:00pmWhat is expected of you and others at this level:Applies acquired knowledge and skills to complete standard tasksReadily learns and applies new information and methods to work in assigned areaMaintains appropriate licenses, training and certificationsWorks on routine assignments that require some problem resolutionWorks within clearly defined standard operating procedures and/or scientific methodsAdheres to all quality guidelinesWorks under moderate degree of supervisionWork typically involves regular review of output by work lead or supervisorRefers complex unusual problems to supervisorResponsibilities:Maintain professional working relationships at all times, with the pharmacy personnel, physicians, nurses, and other medical personnel.Understand that the requirements of working in a pharmacy are varied and may change as demands on the department change.Be available to the customer/patients at all times.Maintain friendly and helpful attitude at all times when dealing with customers.Maintains a safe and clean pharmacy by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.Organizes medications for pharmacist to dispense by profiling prescriptions; preparing labels and calculating quantitiesEnsures medication availability by delivering medications to patients and ordering when neededContributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as neededWorks with pharmacy team to ensure best practices are being followed with regards to 340BQualifications:High school degree or equivalent preferredState Pharmacy Technician license or national pharmacy technician registration/license requiredPrevious experience working as a Pharmacy Technician is highly preferredStrong verbal and written communication skills requiredStrong customer service skills requiredFlexibility to work various shifts is preferredComfortable performing repetitive motions/tasks is requiredDemonstrated ability to use technology such as computers, smartphones and tabletsPTCB Certification or ability to get certified within 180 days of employment340B experience preferredBilingual - Must be able to read, write and speak English and SpanishAnticipated hourly range: $23.60per hour - $30.42 per hourBonus eligible: NoBenefits: Paid time off in compliance with applicable lawsApplication window anticipated to close: 09/03/2026 *if interested in opportunity, please submit application as soon as possible.The hourly range listed is an estimate.
