Medical AssistantSierra Pacific Orthopedics, the leading full-service orthopedic group in the San Joaquin Valley, is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to add to one of our Orthopedic Specialty Practices.Performs administrative and clinical duties in coordination with the Physician to provide quality health care to patients.Completion of a technical program for Medical AssistingStrong communication skills with staff, physicians and patientsGood analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to prioritize work flow in a fast-paced team environmentStrong computer skills, Electronic Medical Records (EMR) experience, preferably with NextgenRooming patients and taking vitalsDocumenting patient information in EMRAssist and setup proceduresArrange and pre-certify MRIs, CRs and DMEs as neededAssist front office in checking patients in/out and schedulingRx refills through physicianPosition requires prolonged sitting, some bending, stooping, and stretching. Some patient assistance will be required. Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone and other office equipment is also required. Employee must have normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare, and communicate appropriate reports.Normal clinical working environment.Compensation: $23-$30/hr
