About the Role
The Company is in search of a Chief Advancement Officer (CAO) to spearhead its fundraising, communication, and marketing initiatives. The successful candidate will be a visionary and strategic leader, responsible for shaping the organization's external presence, and strengthening relationships with donors, partners, and community stakeholders. This role is pivotal in securing the philanthropic investments necessary to support the company's mission of creating educational and economic opportunities for students. The CAO will lead a talented advancement team, drive the evolution of the revenue model, and develop innovative strategies to expand philanthropic support. They will also be tasked with elevating the organization's visibility and influence, and must be prepared to engage in hands-on execution, including personally advancing key donor relationships. Applicants for the Chief Advancement Officer position at the company should be deeply committed to the mission of providing real educational and professional opportunities, particularly for Black, Latino, and first-generation-to-college students from low-income communities. The role requires a candidate with a proven track record in achieving significant annual fundraising goals, excellent relationship-building skills, and the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels. The ideal candidate will have exceptional communication and storytelling abilities, an entrepreneurial spirit, and a collaborative approach to leadership. A Bachelor's degree and at least 7 years' of leadership experience, including substantial experience in the fundraising or development sector, are required.
