Shift: Day 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30) Description: Locals Accepted at travel rate Contract Length: Up to 26 weeks upon request via interview. If not asked during interview, regular 13 weeks will be offered Specialty: NICU/PICU preferred; Pediatric experience strongly preferred Requirements: License: DC RRT License required - CAN ACCEPT PENDING. TAKES 6-8 WEEKS. Certifications: RRT, BLS, PALS (All required prior to start) Experience: Minimum 1 year required; 3+ years recent experience strongly preferred for first-time travelers National Certs: Required RRT, BLS, PALS Shifts Shift Structure: 3 or 4 shifts per week Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend On-Call: No Floating: Yes, within scope. No floating to sister facilities. Level I Trauma Center with close to 40 beds in the ER. Special Equipment: PREFERRED VENTS: DraegerServo IAstral 150Hamilton C1 #Tier2 Travel Compliance RTO: Max 1 week. Full-week RTO requires making up missed shifts or assignment may be extended. No RTO after initial offer. Unmade shifts may result in system-wide DNR. Weekends/Holidays: Every other weekend/holiday required. One holiday guaranteed (list preference on RTO); second based on facility need. Submissions: Only 1 Children's National location per traveler. Cannot be submitted by multiple agencies. Licensure: Active state license required at submission. DC applicants must apply within 24 48 hours of signing; pending accepted with application date + proof/pending license #, but active license required before start. MD/VA require compact or state license. Complete DC Self-Pay Checklist if applying independently. Locals: Accepted with no mileage restriction at same bill rate. Critical Care: Float between NICU/PICU/CICU; all ages. Compliance: Due Monday before start; no pending items. Restrictions: No license or background hits. Return Travelers: Must be separated from Children's National for at least 1 year. Pre-start modules, completed prior to orientation. Modules are nonbillable up to 20 hours.
